Your previous registration secured your spot and handled payment. Now, you need to register directly on the RBR platform to select your class and route. This is crucial as it determines the route you’ll receive on your RBR app Saturday morning.

Important Note on Payment Status:
When you register on RBR, it will show “Payment Unpaid.” Don’t worry! This is a manual setting I handle as admin, as you’ve already completed your payment during the administrative registration.

Why RBR only: We run event navigation securely through RBR to protect route access and preserve riding areas.
Public GPX/Garmin sharing has caused routes to be shared and areas to be closed.

RBR provides controlled digital roadbooks, GPX style trails, waypoint control, speed zones and replay features.
Please do not publicly share recorded tracks or route exports — keep them personal to help preserve access to Gauteng riding areas.

RBR supports offline riding after route download.
At the start you must go online to download the route.

Staying online provides live tracking and easier event support.
If you go offline, connect briefly between stages to upload data.
Tablets without SIM can use your phone as a hotspot.

We offer live tracking via RBR for added safety and support.
To enable live tracking keep your device online during riding.

Note: live tracking uses more battery power — plan charging accordingly.
You may choose to log in for specific stages if you prefer partial tracking.
Live tracking helps Rally HQ monitor progress and offer assistance where needed.

Battery & Power Management: Expect 6–8 hours riding.
Plan for constant charging from bike USB, a power bank, or carry a spare device.
Reduce screen brightness to conserve power.

Hydration & Energy: Bring 2–3 L water and light rehydration salts.
Pace yourself in the morning — you’ll need energy later in the day.

Terrain & Tech: Expect farm tracks, sand and singletrack.
Black Route will be tougher than Red.

General Tips: Share tools/spares where possible.
Use goggles in dusty sections and secure your device mount.

How it works: We use the RBR event system.
After admin registration your entry is loaded to the event platform.
RBR navigation registration opens a few days before the event (you’ll select route/class there).

On event morning: open the RBR event and your route will be ready to download for offline use.
Try the sample routes to get familiar with RBR (demos only — do NOT ride them).

Format: Timed/staged individual starts in rally style. Self paced and self navigated. Follower Class available.

Cost: R850 per rider (pre registration required)
Spots: Max 20 riders — limited capacity, sign up early.

Route Options:
– 🔴 Red Route — ~350 km (adventure-bike oriented, less technical, less sand)

Navigation: Event navigation uses the RBR Roadbook Reader App (Android only).
No Garmin GPX as primary navigation — routes are delivered via RBR.
